Conference stipends

Thanks to a financial contribution by the International Development Research Center (IDRC), a limited number of conference stipends will be available for participants from developing countries to help pay travel and accommodation expenses and the conference registration fees.   Eligibility is restricted to those who have submitted a paper for presentation at the Congress.  Priority in awarding the limited funds available will be given to those applicants who have had their paper accepted.  The selection will be based primarily on paper quality, although other considerations, such as country of residence, may also be taken into account.   To submit your application, download the application form (MS Word, PDF) and follow the instructions on the form.  The deadline for application is March 15, 2010. APPLICATIONS FOR THESE STIPENDS ARE NOW CLOSED.

Funds to participate to the WCERE may also be available through regional environmental economics networks such as SANDEE for South Asia, EEPSEA for South East Asia, LACEEP for Central America and the Caribbean and CEEPA for Africa.  You should check directly with the appropriate network to see if you are eligible.

Finally, the EAERE is trying to secure funds to support conference stipends for participants from Eastern European countries. The information will be posted here if the required funding becomes available.   Please check this page on the Congress web site occasionally for further information about this source of conference stipends.
